Jaxon's 1st Christmas

My poor baby was sick on his 1st Christmas.  That was such a bummer, it just broke my heart.  We took him to the doctor on Wednesday.  They did a RSV test and it came back negative but the doctor still wanted to treat him as if he had it because she was sure it was going to turn into it.  He also had an ear infection so we were on a antibiotic and breathing treatments 3 times a day.  The person that came up with the pacifier that goes on the breathing treatment contraption is a genius!!  I THANK YOU because when he had to use the mask he screamed the entire time which made me cry.  So basically RSV is a virus to it's contagious so that meant our plans had to change.  Gordon and I both ended up sick as well.  Mine is still hanging around!! 

Our families (Mom's) just couldn't spend Christmas away from their grandson so they decided since they had already been exposed they still wanted us to come over and open our gifts.  Jaxon was not asking like he felt bad so we thought that would be okay. 

Christmas eve we went to my parents.  We ate some yummy prime rib!!  Mom and Shell knew just what I needed and wanted...clothes!!  Jaxon got lots of fun things that will keep him entertained.  You will see what Gordon got.  Here are some pictures form there:

Christmas morning we got up EARLY and headed to Gordon's parents.  We couldn't expect poor Cody to wait any longer.  We missed Bentley, Garrett and Darilyn.  They were at Darilyn's families.  Wish our babies would have got to spend Christmas together but we didn't want Miss B to get sick.  We had yummy tacos and then started opening gifts.  We got some much needed formula for Jax which is SOOOO nice.  I got CASH yeah...shopping here I come.  Daddy got a gift card for some new boots.  Of course Jaxon got lots of fun toys as well.  We didn't take too many pictures because Mommy and baby were looking pretty rough from being sick.  But here are the few we did take:

This was at our house Christmas morning.  Poor baby woke up with a swollen eye.  He has eczema and I think the breathing treatments irritated it.  He had scratched his face all up too.  I'm telling ya he was a HOT MESS bless his sweet little heart.

I am SO looking forward to next year already!!  I promised Jaxon I would make it an AWESOME Christmas because his first one kind of stunk.  We missed out on time with both of our extended families which I was very sad about.  Some of them haven't even meet Jaxon yet :(

So here is to a WONDERFUL new year!!  I'm so excited that we get to start the new year with our little man.  We have been so blessed in 2010 and we can't wait to see what 2011 brings.
